Install of x64 DVD freezes at "copying X Window system configuration into system". DVD checked out OK. Download was via metalink. Tried USB thumb-drive but that failed just the same.
Same problem occurred with 20141217.
Time to create a bug report with log files I guess
Greetings, Stephan
Thanks, Stephan. However, things have moved on; I've just managed a faultless (apparently) install on my laptop so I think I need to experiment a bit more. I have another desktop machine to play with so that's my next task. I'd suspect a disk problem on this machine - the root partitions are stored on a rather ancient one - but a standard 13.2 system installed without a hitch on one of the same partitions on which I'd previously failed to install Tumbleweed. In the event of me needing to create a bug report, which log files would I need to look at? -- Graham Davis [Retired Fortran programmer - now a mere computer user] openSUSE 13.2 (64-bit); KDE 4.14.3; AMD Phenom II X2 550 Processor; Kernel: 3.17.4; Video: nVidia GeForce 210 (using nouveau driver); Sound: ATI SBx00 Azalia (Intel HDA) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
