Needs to be something that is reflected in %suse_version as well? I wouldn't do that as first step. There are various packages that use 13.2 as version right now - and I wouldn't want to change them all. It's just a number as you say yourself.
And there is only one factory you build against. And factory's suse_version would have to always larger than the latest openSUSE release, but that's about it IMO.
based on Sunday releases perhaps: based-version + 2 diget year + week of year 1321425 which is version 13.2 from last Sunday possibly separating with "dot": 132.1425 next sunday would be: 132.1426 or 1321426 then factory version will always be incremented and still relate to based version of openSUSE. increment based version Sunday followin version release -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
