This has worked already for ages. I get indeed when installing new packages that zypper or YaST selects all the recommends. Depending on what it recommends, I do somethings deselect some of them. But in the past it never checked the already installed packages for any missing recommended packages and proposed them for installation. The behavior that we now see when in YaST that option to ignore these already installed packages.
