But that means some discussion would happen on the wiki page and some discussions would happen in the mailing list. Isn't it better to have a single place for discussion and then a document that reflects the conclusions?
I think there is no way to prevent the "two places" problem other than convention. Even if we were to use github. People can leave comments there just as well as in the wiki discussion.
