[opensuse-factory] How to analyse netdev watchdog, eth0 transmit queue timed out

How to analyse netdev watchdog, eth0 transmit queue timed out Is this rather a driver error that needs to be bugreported at the linux kernel directly, or can I figure out more about this with some kernel bootup switches for more extensive logging or so? Some ethernet cards give me these errors. Should I first go for a more current Opensuse version or a more current kernel?
