Yesterday, Thunderbird 24.0.1 was upgraded(?) to 24.1 on my system. Sadly, Mozilla still haven't fixed it to pick up the correct version of Lightning plugin (2.6.2) and it stays with version 2.6.1, with which it is incompatible. Suggest 13.1 final release be with 24.0.1 until Mozilla sort out their mess.
Strange subject to say TB 24.1 is broken while in fact there is just no compatible Lightning package available for the version?
Also https://addons.mozilla.org/de/thunderbird/addon/lightning/?src=search This shows Lightning 2.6.2 which is compatible already.
So is there really a problem?
Lightning isn't being updated automatically by TB from 2.6.1 to 2.6.2 so, yes, there is a problem. It can be fixed by installing 2.6.2 by hand as long as you know that's what is needed. Since it is TB that is not installing the compatible version of Lightning when doing its add-ons check, then it is TB that is broken. OK, 'broken' is an exaggeration but TB24.1 isn't working as it should. I suspect there may be more queries - complaints? - from Lightning users on this once 13.1 is released. -- Graham Davis, Bracknell, Berks. openSUSE 13.1-RC2 (64-bit); KDE 4.11.2; AMD Phenom II X2 550 Processor; Kernel: 3.11.6; Video: nVidia GeForce 210 (using nouveau driver); Sound: ATI SBx00 Azalia (Intel HDA); Wireless: BCM4306 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
