we should work on luring more people into running Factory before the last release candidate.
That is easy when Factory is runnable as everyday system, but then we have to define what means "runnable". My definition is: System that is easy to upgrade and downgrade in a reasonable time, without data loss, including this ability for individual applications. Current one way road forward, or bust, is not compelling for majority of users. This will also mean that When it happens that something is broken, it will not mean a lot of different skills and long downtime to recover. System that will create data needed for bug report on its own or guiding user, like DrKonqui. This means a lot of work and thinking, but it will make possible to use Factory every day without special skills and data loss as long as user can live with occasional downtime. This is the only way to have many people testing Factory, and in a long run will mean that release is just a quality snapshot of Factory. -- Regards, Rajko. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
