LS_OPTIONS & PATH
PS1 REMOTEHOST DISPLAY
Neither of these are touched by su with or without "-p".
They weren't on 12.1 nor on 12.2 But they are on 12.3 and factory -- something is resetting them -- I'd say...maybe a change to one of the pam files that calls pam_env.so as it can set / reset them. Both sudo and su now reset my PS1 to a less secure prompt. Before, my prompt set the user@host:fullpath in the titlebar. Interestingly -- sudo bash -- still works: sudo bash User root's .bashrc called 2nd time Ishtar:/etc# echo $PS1 \[$(titlebar)\]${HOSTNAME}:$(spwd "$PWD")#\[\] Ishtar:/etc# exit Ishtar:/etc> sudo su User root's .bashrc called 2nd time etc# echo $PS1 \[\]$(spwd "$PWD" )#\[\] But going through 'su' resets PS1 -- including if I go through su -c bash. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
