mkinitrd from Kernel:stable does not work on 12.2 and below due to changed path to /sbin/get_kernel_version. May we let it check *both* locations?

Has this mkintrd problem now been solved and the kernel patched accordingly? If not, would someone please post an announcement when the kernel has been patched and available for use? I use the kernel from the 'standard' repo but have disabled the repo so as not to stuff my system (as my wife's system was a couple of days ago by losing the menu.lst and with no initrd :-( .)
