Which is why journal was written, and since 12.2, systemctl status <servicename>.service is reporting the relevant log from the service.
I don't see the point of replying to a feature by a bug report on a
single issue.
Nobody has stated systemd (nor sysvinit) are bug free. Reporting bugs,
providing useful logs (and sometime, even better, providing patches) is
the best way to get bugs fixed.
