BTW, What does SR mean?
Submit Request. The basic concept of OBS is there is a tier of repos. 3 at a minimum if your developing a patch for a package in the release. factory (this is where a release is pulled from every 8 months) devel project (this is where stable packages should get initial testing. I often install packages from devel projects if I want the latest stable version.) home project (this is your personal copy of the package. I never install from home projects unless its my home. Who knows what people are doing to a home package.) The idea is you develop a new patch / update in your home project, then issue a SR to the devel project. A devel project maintainer reviews it and either accepts it or rejects it. Then it get's SR'ed to factory for inclusion in the next release. There is also a 12.2 update project. An SR to there will eventually cause a update to the full 12.2 community via the normal update mechanism. There are lots of tools that assist in the above process. Please try the tutorial I posted and correct the wiki page if you find errors in the process.
