Yeah - I saw something like that too in a VM. Does it matter whether
your "right-click" menu goes to LXDE or to OpenBox? I've got an LXDE
VM open at the moment ... stand by ...
Yep ... it's reproducible. Press the "Stop" button, choose "Logout"
and get a command line login prompt with LXDM. This is a 32-bit
VirtualBox guest with the guest additions installed from the ISO image
supplied by the host (VBox 4.2 beta). I've attached .xsession-errors
if that tells anyone anything.
I did an init 3 and init 5 and got the LXDM entry screen but in my
case it let me log back in. But it's definitely broken.

Hi After the first boot, any user can use LXDM to lopgin. upon logging out, the user is sent to the cli console. init 3 and init 5 from that point presents the LXDM screen again but no one can login. Entereing the password throws one back at the LXDM screen.
I have switched to lightdm and that works OK.
Any ideas? Anyone else?
