Keyboard is a bit of a problem: I have a Spanish layout, and the system use US keyboard. I don't know how to change that. Keyboard and language settings is a problem. It works only US. English. I need an experienced appliances builder for the selection of packages and the configuration. So that the language can selected at the boot loader.
This test image based only on a clon of a simple boot disk.
It is an ext3 partition, the program warns about that. Only indicative, for ext3 the alternative old ext4magic-0.2.4 is used. Default and for ext4 a ext4magic-0.3.0
Now it is writing to a directory named MAGIC-2 :-? Dunno what is that. Perhaps orphaned files. This part is taking a long time... I'll take a nap :-)
MAGIC-2: The name for these files could not be determined. You will get a summary statement at the end of the recovery.
Still running... I miss an estimate at least of percent done. I also miss "mc" so that I can easily have a look at what it is producing.
I'll go out shopping.

Still running!
This is the slow function for the ext3 file carving. ;-) Especially text files and many small files take a long time here. Often some hours. For ext4 this function is faster, smarter and more accurate. A progress bar at this position is very difficult to develop and not very meaningful. The files recovered at intervals and very uneven. robi (ext4magic developer) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
