There was a grub error at first boot, which dumped me into text mode grub. I selected the entry that seemed appropriate and the system booted - sorry, I did not write it down. Keyboard is a bit of a problem: I have a Spanish layout, and the system use US keyboard. I don't know how to change that. I don't know how to start the rescue system, the text displayed does not say that, as far as I can see. Luckily I have another machine, a laptop, which I booted to find out, and write this. The program is nice. Partition list does not show labels or other data to identify them, but I can do that on another terminal. It is an ext3 partition, the program warns about that. I'll keep my fingers crossed :-) Now it is writing to a directory named MAGIC-2 :-? Dunno what is that. Perhaps orphaned files. This part is taking a long time... I'll take a nap :-) [...] Still running... I miss an estimate at least of percent done. I also miss "mc" so that I can easily have a look at what it is producing. I'll go out shopping.
