The test image has full support for ext4 and ext3, only the function for ext3 file carving is a little slow.
Yes, I saw a mention of ext3 on the suse studio page later.,
1GB USB Stick is too small for this image, greater than 2GB is not a problem.

I got a 4 GB stick, the smallest I could find in the shop. I'm "burning" it now, and will test it right away on a main partition on which I accidentally erased the entire /var directory.
