32 bit, single core, i915G, 2G RAM. I only downloaded linux and initrd and started net install with Grub. I selected minimal server, added packages like kernel-server, apache2 & console tools, and set taboo on various things I want prevented from being installed ever, like grub2, apparmor, kontact, kdepim4, korganizer, hplip, kopete, gtk?-immodule*, bootsplash, splashy, blue*, systemd-sysvinit & others. Installation was virtually uneventful. My first attempt to select Grub left an empty menu.lst proposal, so I aborted and restarted bootloader, checked the other (new vs. adapt) box and got one, only to see https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=663749 remains. :-( I zypper'd IN KDE3 manually ad hoc. It opens looking normal, other than a really short list of classic menu selections (no Graphics, no Multimedia, no Utilities, even though such things have been installed), but when I try to select settings in the menu, all that seems to be there is a "Settings" header. When I try to run systemsettings from Konsole, I get this from the KDE crash handler: System configuration startup check disabled.
