Can you show your bug numbers ? or evidence to support your statement ?

Why is the burden on the user? They are already suffering a sucky product. This isn't really the "help thy self" issue so many people keep trying to make it out to be.

The crap was pushed out as a release and so everyone, normal users who think they are "helping thy selves" simply by only using official released software instead of betas and Factory, were made to suffer it without being asked.

It's definitely the burden of the people who decided for the rest of us to make it better.

Oh, they aren't paying for the product? So, that makes it ok for the product to suck? OK well, then what? If the product is allowed to suck, or even merely gain the reputation for sucking, deserved or not in your own eyes, what then?

It's not in your own interests to keep rebuffing user complaints.

At the very very least, you could say "We apologize, we know it sucks right now. We need help making a major transition. We are sorry for making these changes which broke all your stuff. We should not have released this yet." That at least will gain you some percentage of sympathy. And at least some percentage of users will decide to give you their time and effort to submit proper bugzilla entries with better documented observations.

When I don't see that acknowledgement of responsibility for causing the users grief, I am hardly surprised when users are unsympathetic and unwilling to go to the trouble of good bug reports. A _good_ bug report is actually a fair amount of work.
