We're delighted to let you know that the second and final release candidate of the openSUSE 12.1 release, scheduled to become available on November 16 2011, is now ready for testing.
I'm consistently finding md5 sum errors on the NET iso images (both i586 and x86-64):
$ md5sum openSUSE-NET-Build0025-x86_64.iso 0c89c63c7c23cb89005d072cc5ea7942 openSUSE-NET-Build0025-x86_64.iso $ cat openSUSE-NET-Build0025-x86_64.iso.md5 789dc3cf6f240d414371f5f13bf9970f openSUSE-NET-Build0025-x86_64.iso
$ md5sum openSUSE-NET-Build0025-i586.iso 9d1067c490a8af5a34b1287e75306949 openSUSE-NET-Build0025-i586.iso $ cat openSUSE-NET-Build0025-i586.iso.md5 d094d91e24dfdc7c458043725fcb842d openSUSE-NET-Build0025-i586.iso
This after 3 attempts each, using aria2c.
Is this just me? If so why - after repeated attempts. DVD images themselves are OK as ids the KDE live (I don't use Gnome so skip that).
I will try anyway to boot the images.
They both seem to boot OK and I've successfully installed RC2 on my new file server (no, it won't be put into service until GoldMaster). 12.1 is looking really good! I used a 2 step process.
1. Download the metalink 2. Start KGet and import the metalink and download the ISO You can also click on the metalink to enable KGet to download the ISOs. The md5sum, sha1 and sha256 are correct. Try it. -- Cheers! Roman -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
