I have now installed RC1. It installed OK, but Network Devices still doesn't recognize the WiFi NIC and KnetworkManager is nowhere to be seen.
Forgot to mention, according to Software Management, NetworkManager-kde4-libs is installed.
knetworkmanager as a program does no longer exist. Is plasmoid- networkmanagement installed ? If yes, then the plasmoid could be added as a standard plasmoid to the panel or in the systray.

I just tried the RC1 Live CD. It has the KNetworkManager working, though it still doesn't work with Wifi. Also, Yast2 doesn't work. I had to use the curses mode Yast to configure Network Devices, which does recognize the WiFi NIC, which I was able to configure and get a connection. Bottom line, there's still a lot of problems: 1) The WiFi driver works on the Live CD, but not install. 2) KNetworkManager works on Live CD, but not install. 3) KNetworkManager doesn't work with WiFi. 4) Yast2 is broken on the Live CD, but works on the install. This is on a ThinkPad E520, type 1143-3RU, with Realtek WiFi & 64 bit 12.1 RC1. I had similar results with build 315, except Yast2 worked on the Live CD. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
