You could also just try booting up any i586 Build10xx.iso 10 times - it does contain the new kernel+udev and see if it works every time.
It failed on try #6. This may be a nasty one to find.

statistics help here i586 tests since ~2011-01-03 64 OK 48 fail late 45 fail early i686-LiveCD tests since 2010-12-20 8 OK 1 fail late 36 fail early This shows, it is much easier to reproduce with i686 LiveCDs (80% failing early), so those should be preferred for testing. I think there was also a workaround patch given in the slackware forum linked in my bugreport(660464), so maybe we could apply that for MS6.
