Hi,
Playing with "zypper dup" from a GNOME livecd, I see that yast2-qt and therefore qt gets installed. Since this is relatively big, I'd like to avoid doing that by default. From what I can tell, this is only happening because the gnome_yast pattern recommends yast2-qt.
I can see this comment to explain this recommendation: "only there for the DVD to have a theme". Is this still valid? I don't see why the DVD would need this since it will already be on the DVD. Well, it's only _installed_ from the DVD if the pattern recommends it. We may need to soft lock some more of it, but it's good you see that problem because I have a bug pending that says no recommends are installed - now I can close that as WORKSFORVUNTZ ;)
(I'm also trying to find out why tcl gets installed with "zypper dup" too, but no luck so far)
umts support is pulled in - I must say I find it strange too, but ModemManager recommends it and the tool requires tcl ;( Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
