Yes, true for SeaMonkey 2 as well. As you said, Mozilla platform 1.9.1 supports both OJI and the new plugins, and anything higher than that only supports the NPAPI/NPRuntime plugins on Linux and Windows, as Sun has been providing that variant for some time now (since 1.6 IIRC), which made our people at Mozilla expect "everyone" to have it available. Good to see that IcedTea/OpenJDK does have it as well now.
