I have setup the sound system via yast2>hardware>sound and then did as test proving it is working. Great no problem, However, every once in a while it forgets the sound is working.
Um, that's strange. What does "forgets" mean?
KDE reports correctly that the sound is not working. To fix the problem I need to rerun yast2.
Is the sound driver still loaded when the sound doesn't work? Could you check "rcalsasound status" output? What's in /proc/asound/cards file?
Rerun test and it works. However, if I don't run test Yast2 tells while trying to save and exit yast2 reports "wrong module"
