Since people are claiming too often that it is a Firefox problem and it isn't in most cases: Please give exact examples with detailed files and mime-types using a public URL what can be used to reproduce. I'll help people to find out why Firefox chooses the apps. Wolfgang
Hi Wolfgang, i will see what i can find. But i had the problem as well and i searched for ages in the KDE4 Systemsettings where GIMP was not even mentioned. But i needed to change it in the Firefox Preferences before it actually worked. it still ignores the KDE4 Settings and only follows its own. And to open a .pdf with GIMP is just a stupid default because there are much better Applications out ther (Evince for example - if i want to go to the GNOME Side of Apps) At the moment i have no URL available but i will see if i can reproduce on my Factoryinstall where i havent changed anyting yet.
