This morning I noticed that the images for the installation contain files they really should not contain and so we had redo the DVDs one more time. But we decided to ship the retail DVD even with this bug to the fab. And this afternoon we noticed that a non-standard 11.0 update (well, one that is standard 11.0 + acroread installed) on x86_64 will leave the system unusable. This bug (bnc#457564 if you like reading horror storries) made us redo 110(!) packages + resend the DVDs to the fab. So we're here still without GM - but fortunately still 9 days to go for public download. Stay tuned :)
Is the new Intel video driver going to be included?! PLEASE?!
What specific driver are you referring to?
I think he is referring to http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18389
Is that a released driver that works with our X and kernel?
Andreas
I really couldn't say, the bug was mentioned earlier on in this thread and at the moment it's reopened for SLED and it was proven that it's not the intel driver but a suse issue. It seems to be the slow down problem that Fred was refering to. There are two novel bugs referenced https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=438266 and https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=439214 There doesn't seem to be a bug open for opensuse 11.1 only SLED. I use nvidia graphics therefore I am not affected.
