On 11.1b5, KDE 4.1, I have no mouse control.
I'm running the beta under Virtual Box. I also ran 11.0 under VB and currently run Vista under VB.
I can move the mouse on the screen, and hover over items. (When I hover, the appropriate behavior occurs in that a pop-up help item will show.)
However, I cannot seem to click on anything. Clicking or double-clicking or right-clicking does no good. I get no response back from the GUI.
Any ideas what this might be?
The problem you're describing is listed as one of the "Most Annoying Bugs" at: Bugs:Most Annoying Bugs 11.1 dev - openSUSE http://en.opensuse.org/Bugs:Most_Annoying_Bugs_11.1_dev Specifically: " Bug #444747: Mouse doesn't work in VirtualBox, Workaround: sed "s/vboxmouse/mouse/" -i /etc/X11/xorg.conf " That workaround (sed "s/vboxmouse/mouse/" -i /etc/X11/xorg.conf) solved the problem in my setup (Host running Windows XP Professional with SP3 and Guest running openSUSE 11.1 Beta 5 with GNOME). The bug was reported (and is being discussed) at: Bug 444747 - vboxmouse is not working (GNOME and KDE4 LiveCDs) https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=444747 I hope this info is helpful.
