Hi! Is the problem with the system-tray icons being garbled in KDE 4.1 expected to persist through the final release of 11.1? I believe this is an upstream problem, but with the new system-tray (already a part of Beta5 that has now added the feature for hiding icons) one would have expected them to be gone. That however is not the case yet. It really spoils the appearance of the (otherwise nice) KDE 4.1 desktop.

Atri,
I don't know, but I can confirm strange behavior of the icon bundle (the icons for systray apps). It looks like the icons are not really connected to the panel. With the kicker panel set to autohide, the panel will hide, but leave the systray icons floating alone on the desktop for nearly a second before they disappear. So it is easy to imagine them getting fouled up. On my B5 install, they haven't corrupted yet, but do show the delay on hide.
Interesting. I don't have such behaviour on the installations of 4.1 in either 11.0 or 11.1Beta5.
Ciao.
Basil,
I bet it is happening, but your just not catching it. It took me three tries with ksnapshot to catch the behavior, but a picture is worth 1000 words.

OK, I see what you are talking about but, as I already stated, I don't have this occurring. I did notice, however, that the whole task/quicklaunch bar is very squashed up. Did you "fiddle" with its settings and push its size down too far? (Fiddling also with the panel alignment may be contributing to this behaviour.)
