List,
11.1B5, kmail -> identities -> Your openPGP Keys -> search for:
causes 2 dialogs to be opened, "kmail Fetching Keys" and "kmail Checking selected keys..". The problem is the dialogs are exactly the same size and the "kmail Checking selected keys.." is placed directly on top of the "kmail Fetching Keys" dialog. They should be offset so both are seen.
The above dialogs should also have a reasonable timeout set in case they are not able to connect or if they are not able to find the gpg key in a reasonable amount of time. Minutes went by and I ultimately had to kill the dialogs manually. Additional problems with kmail: A crash occurred when trying to save an email: http://www.3111skyline.com/download/openSUSE_11.1/kmail.kcrash a related crash occurred with ksnapshot with the next save file attempt: http://www.3111skyline.com/download/openSUSE_11.1/ksnapshot.kcrash Screenshots for both: http://www.3111skyline.com/download/openSUSE_11.1/ksnapshot-crash.jpeg Other than that, kmail was fully configured with 9 separate filters (filtering on subject and List-ID) and imap and pop3 accounts and about 4500 messages downloaded without any other problems. One annoyance is with applying a new filter to the inbox. There are two shortcomings. Fist, there is no way to apply a filter to the whole inbox without ctrl+a to select all the messages in the inbox before applying the filter. (There should be an "apply to inbox" or "apply to [choose folder]" option) Second, whey you apply the filter to all selected messages, the message list jumps around repeatedly while the filter is being applied. I know its just moving and sorting, but it the animation is going to be shown, it should be shown in some type of "smooth scroll" manner or the like. Personally, I would like to see the list held static until filtering is done and then simply display the resulting list after the filter is applied. You could even throw up a splash to cover the list that says something like "Applying Filter.." Understand, these are just polish issues and should be put on the back burner until more pressing issues with 11.1 are solved. -- David C.
