Hi,
updated factory x86_64 today, and i'm left with a semi-functional system (no zypper, yast, kde4,...). trying to run one of the above I get:
/lib64/libgcc_s_so.1: version 'GCC_4.2.0' not found (required by /usr/lib64/libstdc++.so.6)
Do I just have to wait for the next factory update ?
That doesn't sound like something we changed. What's rpm -Vf /lib64/libgcc_s_so.1 ?
Greetings, Stephan
Hi !
rpm -Vf /lib64/libgcc_s.so.1
says nothing. (there was a _ instead of a ., i had to copy the output by hand, because the other machine is not on the net)
rpm -qf /lib64/libgcc_s.so.1
gives:
libgcc43-4.3.3_20081022-2.8 libgcc33-3.3.3-5.1
Is the fact that I have two libgcc's installed the source of the problem ?
Yes, they should conflict - or not be present at all. Please file a bug and get rid of libgcc33 and reinstall libgcc43.
Greetings, Stephan
OK, I deinstalled both of them, and reinstalled only libgcc43, and now everything seems to work. I cannot remember installing libgcc33 by hand, but I'm not 100% sure. When I try to reinstall it by hand now, I get a conflict with libgcc43, so I don't know how this situation came up. Thanks for your help anyway, I'm not filing a bug for the moment, but I will keep my eyes open.
