What good is of ldd that does not list missing libraries, if that is the problem?
hrmmm.. works for me..
ldd `which display` linux-gate.so.1 => (0xffffe000) libMagick.so.10 => /usr/lib/libMagick.so.10 (0xb7d2a000) ..
Thanks, it seemed I had all the libraries installed. There is something funny going on my PC (3.0 GHz Xeon with 1GB memory, 1TB raid/0 but only one CPU since the fan of the other is broken and I have waited the whole summer for the replacement), since memtest86+ run only about a minute before it halted. I guess the halt comes from the other fan which makes the machine stop every now and then. Anyhow I guess problem might be with the kernel or libraries (since the machine does not halt). I installed the NVIDIA-Linux-x86-100.14.11-pkg1.run driver. SInce it does not come with 10.3 Beta 1 kernel, I run the compilation. It might be that there is some problems with the. When I installed VLC from http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-suse.html (they have 10.3 drivers), VLC starts, flashes a dialog and then stops. -- Arto Viitanen --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
