Honestly, I don't know exactly 'why' IA64 recommends at lest 200 MB. Other system need just only 64 MB... But it's only a warning, you can skip it and continue upgrading.
Anyway, you had better see the bugzilla bug #258563 (mentioned in the change-entry). It isn't just the 100MB I am asking about. Even after reading the bug, I cannot understand why the need for 64MB (and apparently that applies even to an ext2 filesystem). With everything included, ie. the kernel, initrd, the system map, and grub, one kernel takes up 3.9MB on my system. What needs the remaining 60MB?
