A cat some_asciifile > /dev/lp0 gives unreadable output on my Epson Stylus Color 880. And any other try to print something using cups doesn't work, too. Switching back to 2.6.18.8-0.1-default fixes the problem.
Please test our vanilla upstream kernel as well
Where do I find that vanilla upstream kernel ? Or did you mean the vanilla kernel from kernel.org ?
There should be (at least in the build service) an vanilla kernel without any of our patches. Sorry, don't know the exact place right now;-(
It's called kernel-vanilla and is sitting right next to where you got the other KOTD :)
Well, I 'am using traditionally http://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/kernel/kotd/ and there is no kernel-vanilla ;-) I've found it now at http://software.opensuse.org/download/Kernel:/ and the vanilla upstream kernel shows the same problem.
