This title is a bit misleading cause Factory!=beta8, please check it next time. Beta 8 is planned at Mar 17, 2006.
Not true.
Well, then they have to resync the schedule. If the factory is up2date 4 days earlier then the beta comes out they have some days off :-D I guess (or did they planned too much time and followed my strategy (I really doubt so, cause they did not want that))?
"Starting with the packages in the factory tree from 2006-03-12, zmd and rug can be used for package management."
Don't know what comes now (upgrading to factory again, this time via yast instead of y2pmsh)
What time was used? I did it at 07:00 GTM....
Beware if you have x86_64. y2pmsh does it well, but yast fails (see subject) and causes a lot of hand-crafting fixing it (because program calls will fail due to not having their libraries).
Not 64 here, just 32. y2pmsh does the job but rug still does not. Time for a bugreport/comment or does someone have to say something before I report it?
but this morning (12-03-06) it did not work yet. Rug just hangs when you ping zen. Still broken, maybe ftp.gwdg.de was not synced yet...but that looks like a kinda weird option to me.
ftp.gwdg.de is in sync.
That's what I thought.
Tomorrow we will know more...... You are wrong. Upgrading today to factory leaves the system as:
I meant that I could check rug-status cause yast (that worked to :) ) showed me an ETA of 43 minutes. None the less the upgrade finished at 20 minutes ETA... Guess it still needs some work. Will install beta8 fresh as soon it is announced For today I hope my 2 bugreports will be confirmed. After that I will see what I am gonna do :D Azerion
