Te lo detecto correctamente el Yast?
Si no lo configuras, va a ser un poco dificil de que funcione.
Yo tengo un multifunción HP, y no tiene problemas.

Dispongo de un scaner HP 5300C que a través de usb iba de fabula hasta el kernel 2.6.8. Tras el salto de Debian a Opensuse 10.2 ha dejado de funcionar. Esta es la información que puedo aportar:

En dll.conf esta descomentado "avision" que es el driver apropiado para este scaner y con el que antes funcionaba de maravilla. Hasta ahora me había podido apañar con un viejo P200MMX que con Debian SARGE me compartía por red el scaner y la impresora. Pero ha pasado a mejor vida y me encuentro con un scaner, que si quiero utilizar me obliga a usar un cd live de knoppix, escanear, guardar en usb y recuperar del mismo en Opensuse.http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6078 He indagado algo y he visto bugs en : https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sane-backends/+bug/83587 http://lkml.org/lkml/2006/9/16/66 http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6078 Este ultimo si aporta algo de información. También he probado a parar ehci_hcd sin éxito como proponen en otro comentario. El parche que proponen se aplica a nivel de fuentes y me imagino que luego habrá que compilar. Se asegura que solucionó un problema similar con un iPod. Aún no lo he hecho pero si es un problema de timeout, la ultima linea de "lsusb -v" puede dar la pista. No es problema ni de hardware, ni de cable usb pues con una knoppix 4.0 va todo bien. Una live de Ubuntu con kernel 2.6.20 da los mismos errores, asi que versiones posteriores no solucionan el problema
¿A alguien se le ocurre otra forma de soslayar el problema y no tener que recompilar? (confieso que me he acostumbrado a la buena vida). Gracias por aguantarme.
