He conectado un hub de 4 puertos al linux y lo detecta en el arranque. Despues he conectado un hd externo que no requiere alimentación, y efectivamente teníais razón, el hd no enciende. Así que ya se lo que me toca, adquirir un hub con alimentación independiente.
