I want it to just work with no installation. How would I copy it to every user except test3, samdea, anix Is there a file somewhere that I need to copy over from samdea to test2 which will make OpenOffice think its already been installed
OK, there's two things here. Either you can do: for i in $(ls -1 /home/* | grep -v test3 samdea anix); do cp -r /some/working/config /home/$i/.some_location && chown -R $i.groupname; done Or.... you could have a central configuration say in /opt which is set to: chmod o+rwx which is then a symlink in each user's $HOME.
