sorry, NOT Help please with Samba (being lazy!)
Hi,
Can someone please help with autostarting a program.
When Linux starts, I want to start an exe before a user logs in (i.e as the machine boots), how do I do this?
Well, assuming that you are using uses, one can add items into the file "/etc/init.d/boot.local" file, i.e.... --------------------- #!/bin/sh #/etc/init.d/boot.local exec some_app ---------------------- You might have to do something like this first... [ ! -e /etc/init.d/boot.local ] && touch /etc/init.d/boot.local In case, it does not exist.
