i need to make sure that all parts of OOo are working ing im going to impress the very skeptical staff where i work. They havent had any it support for all the time they've had rm (which is now on its knees begging for mercy) and now were putting in nymph thin client. I just want to make sure they get the full use out of the software so they dont start buying M$ licenses again. How do i get a VM that OOo does support?

Yes.
when i try and install OOo?
OOo probably doesn't support all VMs. I'm not sure I'd worry about it too much, I don't think OOo uses Java for anything useful.
