Yes the 3Com router that both nics are hooked into has
full green lights, both nics on their leds display as
connected @ 100MB's and they are recieving the
background traffic of the network.
And yes we run just one internal subnet of
255.255.252.0, with the broadband on the foreign
x.x.254.0 subnet. Interesting to note that linux
counts x.x.253.0 as an invalid subnet with the foreign
subnet, even tho NT is fine with it - 254 is fine on
the test comp btw.

Next questions: are we to assume you run single subnet internally? Are these test hosts live on the networks? Does your networking equipment show these hosts to be "alive"?
