Dave Williams,
If you wouldn't mind sending me a copy of your
"/etc/httpd/httpd.conf" file, I will be able to look
at it to make sure that all the settings are correct.
I doubt however that the partial loading of images on
webpages is down to apache. It is more likely that
your browser (which I assume to be some variant of
Internet Explorer <I shudder horribly>) settings are
blocking certain image types.
Of course, the problem might be that the particular
image type that is being displayed is not in a valid
"IE format", such as a .png .pnm for example.
If you are still stuck after this, you might like to
try reading my article from "The Linux Gazette" (I
happen to be the "Linux Weekend Mechanic". The address
is the following:

I hope some of this information helps...
If not let me know,
Regards,
Thomas Adam

I'm using Suse 7.0 and the default install of Apache. It is working as an intranet server but with some minor problems. Pages don't always finish loading ie. missing graphics etc.
Are there any settings which I should modify to improve performance. It's running on a 600MHz Duron with an IDE drive and 128MB of RAM. I know SCSI and more RAM would help - any other comments?
When I'm happy with performance it could be used by over 300 clients (PCs and Acorns) and also as an Internet cache (Squid).
