Judge for yourself: I have been asked not to express *any* points of view relating to "applications", "solutions" or "technologies" in this forum as, apparently, it is "inappropriate" to mention such topics here.
I would class that as being inconsistent with any reasonable notion of "free speech".
If you want to continue this discussion, please feel free to e-mail me privately - I do not intend to say any more on this matter in this
list. Hmm. Sidestepping the argument, what about the independent mailing list discussed at the meeting. I had thought after one week we would have one up and running? I have one myself (schools-lnx@sc.lug.org.uk), because of the lack of a platform-independent one, whilst recognizing the importance of the suse list - and thanks roger for allowing so much non-suse stuff here - it's not really appropriate for all the osie discussion. We need several osie lists along the lines of: discussion@ advocacy@ lobbying@ support@ KS1@ etc., to cover the main areas, starting with discussion@ Is there a problem setting these up? I note that the osie site is still under a UK2.net banner with infamous blink tag (non-netscape users count your blessings).
