Evening All No I am not a policeman but one point of security you may like. If you want a secure server for nfs mounting for Acorn RiscPCs or (perhaps) samba services then set the users shell to /bin/false instead of a shell (/bin/bash). Any time they try to log in they get loged out. I secured the BSD server we use at school, for the Acorns, to stop hacking and it works so well. The iMacs we have use MacOS-X servers, not quite the x files but. Hope this is of interest. Regards mike -- Mike Clinch, minkl@dircon.co.uk, Disclaimer? Acorn RiscPC + SuSE linux box & unix box
