Isn't it confused with a Subversion/CVS repository? I am not sure if 
there is already this connotation.

I imagine a description merely *about* software with this phrase but 
not a collection of installable RPM packages. Maybe it's only me. :)

What about this:

* Software depot
* Software depository
* Software reservoir
* Software deposit
* Software/Package storage (site)
* Software loft ;)

Ok, I admit some may sound very strange for a native speaker. :)
