(In reply to Marco Bakera from comment #0) Yes blender-2.71 is compiled without ffmpeg support and it only supports basic pcm audio, once there was avi and ogg support but it seems to have disappeared. There wasn't an ffmpeg in 13.2 to build against. Even the Leap:42.1 blender- doesn't build against ffmpeg.
I enabled ffmpeg support after Leap:42.1 and I have a linked package in Packman but it cannot build for 13.2 because there isn't OpenImageIO and pugixml in 13.2, needed for blender "Cycles". An update for 13.2 wouldn't be possible, it involves too many packages. If you updated to Leap:42.1 an update would be a simple patch to enable ffmpeg or you could install from Packman which will have the latest blender with full ffmpeg support from now on. It follows graphics/blender.
