Ich hab das kürzlich auf einem Laptop mit dem gleichen Wlan-chip durchexerziert, und hatte letzlich Erfolg mit:
...~> sudo /usr/sbin/install_bcm43xx_firmware
(das Kommando hast du vmtl. auch schon) und danach als su:
..# /etc/init.d/network restart
Ich habe vor dem Laden der neuen Firmware das Verzeichnis /lib/firmware/b43 gelöscht, um ganz sicher zu gehen, dass da nicht noch irgend welcher Schrott drin steht. Nach "modprobe -r b43" und "und "modprobe b43" hatte das Ding Kontakt. Der ping mit -I wlan0 hat funktioniert
Alles weitere dann mit dem Networkmanager, und *nicht* per Yast!
Die Wiederholung mit dem Networkmanager hat dann nicht geklappt und mit YAST geht jetzt auch nichts mehr. Nach einigen Minuten bricht das wieder ab.
Ich hatte das T40 unter 10.3. Wie Werner schon schrieb, muss die firmware installiert sein.
Was dir noch passieren kann, dass das T40 nicht mehr hochfährt mit der Meldung falsche Wlan-Schnittstelle oder so. Musste die Karte ausbauen dann gings wieder. Falls das passiert hab ich noch den Patch von meinem Händler (tb-computers.de) damit's wieder funktioniert.
Entweder ist der Patch schon eingespielt, oder ich habe einen anderen Chip? Das funktioniert bei mir jedenfalls. Hat da jemand eine Idee? Wo wird der wpa_supplicant gestartet, damit ich da -dd eintragen kann? Vielleicht hilft das weiter.
