Hallo Liste,
ich habe Anfang April schon mal die Frage gepostet, ob es denn schwierig ist,
unter OpenSuSE 10.2 einen DSL-Zugang einzurichten. Folgenden Antwort erhielt
ich u.a. hierzu:
DSL unter openSUSE einzurichten stellt keine große Hürde dar.
Grundsätzlich gibt es zwei Möglichkeiten, die von der Hardware
abhängen die Du von Deinem Provider bekommst.
Entweder Du bekommst ein DSL Modem (von ALICE bekommt man nur ein
solches), oder Du bekommst einen Router mit eingebautem Modem.
Im Falle dessen das Du nur ein Modem bekommst, vergibst Du mit Yast
zunächst Deiner Netztwerkarte eine IP ( z.B. 192.168.1.2).
Anschließend konfigurierst Du Deinen DSL Zugang via Yast
Netzwerkgeräte/DSL. Hier gibst Du die Zugangsdaten ein, die Dir Dein
Provider mitteilt .
Am Ende findest Du im "Tray" ein Symbol, mit dessen Hilfe Du die
Verbindung herstellst. Es lässt sich aber auch so einstellen, das
die Verbindung automatisch bei Bedarf oder beim Rechner Start
hergestellt wird.
Also ich habe nun seit gestern meinen DSL-Anschluss, und mich - mutig wie ich
bin :-) - gleich unter OpenSuSE 10.2 an die Konfiguration gemacht und bin
leider kläglich gescheitert.
Ich habe ein DSL-Modem was ich auch mit meine schon konfigurierten
Netzwerkkarte verbunden habe. Als Einwahl-Option habe ich sowohl dial on
demand als auch hot plugged gestetet, beides ohne Erfolg. Hier erst mal ein

Das signal 15 stammt von mir; hier habe ich kinternet wieder deaktiviert,
nachdem ich zwei Minuten lang nur den "Blitz" gesehen habe. Zuvor hatte ich
auch mal das Phänomen, dass ganz kurz der "Blitz" erschien, und danach war
kinternet wieder komplett gestoppt. Ich glaube (weiß es leider nicht), der
pppd ist da mit einem signal 1 abgeschmiert. Das ist SIGHUP, also das hangup
signal, und das nach nicht mal einer Sekunde.
Ich habe mir das DSL-Modem als "Ethernet over ppp" (oder so ähnlich
konfiguirert); die Zugangsdaten wurden nie als falsch gemeldet; ich habe n
ichts derartiges in /var/log/messages sehen können.
Da es sich um meinen privaten PC handelt, kann ich jetzt leider nicht sofort
tausend Tips auspropieren; das geht erst heute oder morgen Abend. Was für
weitere Infos kann ich denn liefern? Wie bringe ich beispielsweise kinternet
dazu, mehr zu loggen?
Dann noch ein paar Fragen... Ich hatte bisher meinen Zugang als dial on demand
mit einem 56k-Modem. Kann es sein, das di Koniguration dieser alten
Verbindung stört? Wie schon oben erwähnt, ich habe meine Ethernetkarte
NICHT(!!) konfiguriert, sie war schon konfiguriert. Kann hier etwas falsch
sein? Wenn ja, was? Wo werden denn letztlich die DSL-Konfigurations-Daten
abgespeichert? Wie müsste denn eine solche Datei für t-online aussehen? Hier
würde ich mich über ein Beispiel freuen.
Ach ja, unter Windows XP klappt alles bestens; also dan der Hardware liegt es
definitiv nicht...
