SuSE 10.0 OSS, xntp-4.2.0a-46, ISDN, fritzcapi Ich habe den ntpd im Runlevel-Editor aktiviert und /etc/ntp.conf konfiguriert. U.a. habe ich in ~/include/linux/capability.h die Zeilen define CAP_SETUID define CAP_SETPCAP define CAP_INIT_EFF_SET to_cap_t \ (~0 & ~CAP_TO_MASK(CAP_SETPCAP)) define CAP_INIT_INH_SET to_cap_t(0) entkomplimentiert und in /usr/sbin folgende Dateien ausführbar gemacht und Benutzer-ID (set UID) gesetzt: ntpd, ntpdate, ntpq, ntptrace und ntp-wait Nach dem Neustart weist /var/log/ntp folgende Zeile aus: 21 Jan 17:28:11 ntpd[5032]: cap_set_proc() failed to drop \ root privileges: Operation not permitted. Was ist da falsch, was fehlt da noch? Danke schon mal vorab Gruß Arno
