Hello all,
I got very many conflicts on a YAST package update to kde 3.4.1.
I downloaded the yast-sources files from
ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/x86_64/supplementary/KDE/update_for_9.3/yast-source / and
ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/ftp.suse.com/suse/x86_64/supplementary/KDE/upd ate_for_9.3/yast-source
Don't download the files !!
(for SuSE KDE update) YAST --> Change Installource --> add new -> ftp
server: ftp.gwdg.de or ftp.suse.com or other mirror
directory: pub/suse/x86_64/supplementary/KDE/update_for_9.3/yast-source/ pub/suse/x86_64/supplementary/misc/update_for_9.3/yast-source/ pub/suse/i386/9.3/ (here are the x86_64 packages, too)
thats all :-) Then go to YAST --> install new software --> then you can choose what you want and rpm managed all conflicts for you (take SuSE-DVD, too)
518MB over a modem isn't a solution for me :-( BTW: I have also enabled the local directory AND the DVD as install source with the same effect. I assume it's only on 64bit PCs a problem because on 32bit PC this works. Werner
