We want to limit some ports only possible to be used by our application. In /etc/services we append those port numbers in the right syntax. However, it blocks the listed port numbers completely. How to let the system know it should open the port when we startup the right application ?
with best wishes
Maybe you found what you want in xinetd or xinetd.conf. "man xinetd.conf" But please use the english list for further questions. It is found in suse-linux-e. This is the german list, thx. -- Andreas
