Wäre vermutlich nicht gut, wenn dein httpd mit root-rechten laufen würde... wohl eher unter der ID wwwrun.
Bei mir wird der Apache zweimal gestartet: ps aux |grep httpd root 170 0.0 2.9 7172 3848 ? In der httpd.conf steht: # If you wish httpd to run as a different user or group, you must run # httpd as root initially and it will switch.
